English as a Second Language
CSEA offers beginner, intermediate and advanced ESL Classes to help learners of all backgrounds become proficient in the English language. Initially, students are assessed to gauge their English communication and comprehension skills. Students are then placed in the appropriate level ESL class. Our classes run in trimesters, (4) times a week during the evening hours. ESL classes are offered year round.
CSEA offers basic citizen preparation classroom style instruction for all qualified clients. CSEA works closely with Immigration and Naturalization Services to assist each of our students throughout the entire process of obtaining their Citizenship including the application process and preparing for the test. Our staff and teachers ensure that all of our students have the confidence and knowledge to pass the test and become a United States Citizen.
External Diploma Program
CSEA offers the External Diploma Program (EDP), the program is for self-directed adults over the age of 21 who are more comfortable showing their skills in practical ways than taking traditional tests. It appeals to those who prefer individualized learning. After completing the requirements of the program students are awarded a high school diploma from Central Falls High School. Prerequisite: basic computer skills.
